Learn Your Serger Level 1: The Very Beginning

These serger classes are held at Sew-Op+Maker Space at 1507 Broadway St., Vancouver, WA, 98663

Get to know and use your serger. This class is perfect if you have a new or “new to you” serger. It’s also a great way to decide which serger you want to buy if you don’t have one.

Using a combination of slides, video-clips and demos, we’ll demystify the serger’s many moving parts and how they work together. You will learn about easy threading, basic tension, 2, 3 and 4-thread stitches, simple flat-lock and the versatile rolled hem.

You’ll receive fabric for samples, which will go into a notebook with directions. If you need to borrow one of the lounge sergers, please let us know when registering.
