Serger Classes

Sergers Level 1-The Very Beginning Get to know and use your serger. This class is perfect if you have a new or ‘new to you’ serger. It’s also a great way to decide which serger you want to buy if you don’t have one. Using a combination of slides, video-clips and demos we will demystify the many moving parts and how they work together. You will learn about easy threading, basic tension, 2, 3, and 4-thread stitches, simple flat-lock and the versatile rolled hem. You will be provided with fabric for samples which will go into a notebook with directions. If you need to borrow one of the lounge sergers, please let us know when you register.
Bring:
- Your serger, power cord, foot control, all accessories and the manual
- 4 spools of thread in 4 different colors
- Standard sewing supplies (scissors, seam gauge, pins etc.)
