Thursday Night Threads-Beginning Sewing for Adults

Prerequisite: Machine & Sewing Basics or equivalent

Thursday Night Threads (TNT) is an on-going beginning sewing series for adults. After you have taken the Machine & Sewing Basics class (or if you can bring those skills of threading and operating your sewing machine), you may jump into the next 3-week TNT class. The projects are all designed for beginners. Classes are limited to four so everyone gets one-on-one attention. Students may all be working of different projects at the same time.

Each of the projects below will take one 3-week session of TNT plus homework to complete. If you only want to sew in class, they might take you longer than one session. You decide! The pouch & pillow projects are simpler, so repetition is a good idea here—get GOOD at zippers by making two of each.

During the warmer months we will be sewing open air with a lovely view of our Pacific Northwest Sunset followed by twinkling Portand lights. It’s a sweet view.

Once you’ve sewn through the beginner projects you’ll be ready for Open Sewing and Fit For Real People Pattern Fitting, and Fit & Sew workshop events.

This project series for beginning sewing enthusiasts features my special program & designs along with Palmer/Pletsch patterns. This series is carefully designed and created for beginners, and drawn from many years of classroom instruction  You will work through several projects, all of them fun and useful or giftable:
